This interactive workshop aims to help participants understand the importance of the Data Protection Acts, the issues around compliance and the penalties for breaching Data Protection regulations.

>>OBJECTIVES
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of the acts and how they apply to them as individuals, employees, in their jobs and in their dealings with service users
  • Describe how the organisation´s Data Protection policy and procedure applies to them as individuals, employees, in their jobs and in their dealings with service users
  • Discuss the issues around compliance
  • State the penalties for breaching Data Protection regulations
  • State who to contact for further information and support

This workshop should be run for groups of up to 16.
