As a result of attending this one day course participants will gain an understanding of the role that effective supervision and support (reflective practice) can play in contributing to an effective, professional team.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of supervision & support in managing performance
  • Its relationship to appraisals and the attainment of business objectives
  • Describe how they will implement / improve the supervision & support experience within their teams
  • Describe the principles of addressing poor performance
  • Describe the importance of praising good performance
  • Document meetings appropriately

Staff who are responsible for the management / supervision / support of colleagues within their teams and have not previously used a structured support process.
