Understanding & Managing Effective Teams

As a result of joining this workshop, participants will develop the skills needed to recognise both their personal strengths and weaknesses and those of their wider team.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify their individual and team´s skills and attributes
  • Identify ways that they will support individuals to develop their team skills further
  • State which team roles are necessary to make a team work well
  • Identify their management style
  • Describe alternative management styles and when they would be appropriate
  • Delegate effectively
  • Create an action plan to develop more effective communication within their team

This workshop should be run for groups of up to 12.

Staff who are responsible for the management / supervision / support of teams.

The content can be structured to address your specific team management needs. This workshop will incorporate issues of equal opportunities and anti-oppressive practice to assist participants in understanding and challenging all forms of discrimination.
