Darren Andrews

Darren’s professional background began in the Care of Adults with Learning Disabilities and Psychiatric nursing practice where he worked prior to taking up a post as Scheme Manager of a Supported housing project for a large housing Association in 1996.

Whilst with the Housing Association, Darren also managed supported housing environments for vulnerable adults with a variety of needs and as a General Needs housing manager.

In 2005, Darren was invited to join the training team of one of the top 5 IT training companies in the UK. Today, he continues to work with them and train as an Associate for us.

Darren’s qualifications as an IT trainer include:
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) - Master Instructor
Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) Master Instruct
or MCT
TPMA Certified Trainer
Associate Member of the Institute of IT Training

Mary Andrews

Mary’s professional background began in nursing. After 14 years as a mental health professional, in 1997 Mary joined a large housing association as a manager in supported housing prior to becoming their Training and Development Advisor 3 years later.

Since 2007, Mary has worked as an independent learning consultant, establishing her credibility with clients and colleagues due to her business-focussed, engaging, and realistic approach. Ensuring all learning initiatives comply with current legislation and best practice Mary’s passion is in developing the knowledge, skills, confidence and attitudes of staff working within health and social care to support adults who experience mental ill health, learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and dementia. For the last three years Mary has also been a Dementia Champion/Ambassador.

Mary’s qualifications as a trainer include:
Chartered MCIPD
NVQ Level 5 Training & Development Strategy
Accredited Safeguarding trainer
NVQ A1 Assessor: Management, Customer Care and Health & Social Care
